JAY Flow fluid and memory foam for high performance skin protection and positioning

The JAY Union is a versatile low maintenance cushion which is comfortable, provides skin protection and moderate postural support. Ideal for users who are uncomfortable in their chair, sitting for longer periods of time and require some postural support. It is ideal for users at moderate risk of pressure injuries.

A multi-layer base with pre-contoured high-resistance foam with a Soft Visco memory foam overlay. The base provides a gentle, but moderate level of postural support – encouraging a neutral and pelvic position.

A dynamic fluid bladder is located in between the layers of foam. This increases comfort but more importantly ensures this cushion is able to provide a moderate to high level of pressure care. The encapsulated fluid bladder ensures there is no maintenance.

Moisture-resistant inner cover assists with incontinence and moisture management.

The anti-microbial outer cover provides good air flow whilst the X-static silver threads help to minimise bacteria buildup (and thus minimise odor). This cover also helps to reduce shear.

Visco™ Memory Foam Top Layers

The gel infused memory foam has a cooling effect as there is increased airflow thru the surface and the gel absorbs heat. This material combination creates the ultimate sitting surface: distributes weight for pressure reduction and provides maximum comfort.

Contoured Foam Base with Lateral Pelvic Support

Added 1" lateral pelvic wedges offer superior lateral stability and alignment of the pelvis for more involved positioning needs. Choose the reduced profile option to lower the Union’s overall height by 1” to maintain lower seat to floor height.

JAY Flow™ Fluid Insert

JAY Flow™ Fluid Insert conforms to each individual's unique contours for even pressure distribution beneath the pelvis and a reduced risk of skin breakdowns.

Innovative, Dual-Cover System

For convenience and protection, the Union features a dual-cover system. The inner cover is water-resistant and easy to wipe off and clean, while its Aqua-guard zipper and anti-wicking thread protect the foam base from fluids. The machine-washable, stretch outer cover reduces surface tension and utilises naturally anti-microbial, silver-impregnated X-static® fibre. A layer of 3DX spacer fabric promotes airflow and dissipates heat and moisture for additional skin protection.

Discomfort Level

Ideal for a user sitting for longer time periods and require a very comfortable cushion. This cushion offers fluid protection and postural support with no set up and minimal maintenance. User will need to be able to perform weight shifts – but could be with assistance.

Every JAY Union cushion base is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase, provided normal use.

The removable outer and inner covers are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six (6) months from the date of purchase, provided normal use.
