Modern, child centred styling combined with a comprehensive range of support options make Atom the ideal seating system to give children with additional postural needs the right amount of support to develop correct seating posture and function.
Wipe clean covers as standard mean any messy play or other soiling can be easily cleaned; antimicrobial agents in the covers give additional peace of mind when Atom is placed in a multi-user environment.
Recognising that children grow and develop at the quickest rate in their infant years, all support structures are easily adjusted, added or removed. This ensures each child is getting the correct support at any given time and can accommodate changes in their postural needs caused by periods of growth.
Jenx Multigrip Head Support
The Jenx Multigrip headrest is available in three sizes for a number of Jenx seating and standing systems. All have a choice of various highly flexible fixing brackets dependent on the product it is used with, all of which give adjustment for height, depth, and angle.

Jenx Atom Back Pad Infill
A 50mm back pad to reduce the seat depth for smaller children. Simply attach by hook and loop fastener into place behind the standard 25mm back pad – easily removed when no longer needed.

Comfort style shoulder protractors to encourage a functional mid-line hand position and prevent excessive retraction. Completely flip-away when not required. Independently adjustable for width and angle.
Jenx Atom Short High-Rise Thoracics
These short, slim trunk support pads are made from flexible and hygienic PU. There is a single handed push button flip away action on all supports and they are independently adjustable for height and width. Can be offset to brace a scoliosis or accommodate other skeletal deformities. These do not have straps.
Jenx Atom Flexible High-Rise Thoracics
Slimline and super flexible support pads (with straps), designed to provide outstanding positioning with comfort in mind. These feature single handed flip-away action and are independently adjustable for height and width to ensure maximum trunk control. Covers are required (3431-3271-022).
Jenx Waistcoat Harness
Provides additional trunk support to children with low tone. An innovative zip system allows for easy access to gastrostomy feed tubes, with outer surface made from wipe-clean fabric.

Jenx Atom Long Leg Sitting Board
Easily attached and removed with just 2 wing knobs, the Long Leg Sitting Board can be used permanently or removed for very young children or those needing hamstring stretch. Adjustable support blocks attach by hook and loop fastener. All other settings remain unchanged making the change from regular to long leg sitting quick and easy. This is used in place of foot plate.

Jenx Atom Arm Supports
Provided as a pair, the arm supports are independently adjustable for height and angle. Clear markings make it easy to set the arm supports at the correct height. Arm supports are required for using a tray.
Jenx Atom Arm Support Covers
Provide a soft top for the arm support when the tray option is not required. It is easily removed for times when tray is required. Made from red material to match the colour of the red seat padding.
Jenx Atom Nursery Tray
A useful surface for work, feeding or play, made from antimicrobial plastic providing a hygienic and easy to clean surface. Contrasting tray edging gives a definitive boundary particularly useful for children with visual impairments and is also raised to allow toys or other items to be securely fastened in place. It’s also available with reduced cut-out infill for babies and small children (3431-7182-000). Please note, suction toys will not work with this tray – to use these items with the Atom please see the Nursery Tray Infill (3431-7182-000).
Jenx Atom Nursery Tray Infill
Designed to work with the Nursery Trays to reduce the cut-out for smaller children. It also provides the perfect surface for use with suction toys. Prevents even the slimmest of arms from falling into gaps.
Jenx Atom Nursery Tray Padding Options
There are two tray padding options available: full tray padding, or half tray padding. Full tray padding provides total surface padding for the tray, and is ideal for users who are prone to injuring their arms on support surfaces. The half tray padding is great for providing a comfortable resting surface for elbows, padding half of the tray closest to the user.

Elbow blocks mount to tray corners for elbow protection. For use with Jexn Bee or Jenx Atom indoor seating systems.
Jenx Activity Frame
The activity frame encourages head control and hand to eye coordination. It is easy to attach and adjust with two clips for attaching toys or other items. This can be used with the Junior, Junior+, Multiseat, Bee, Atom, Monkey, Penguin, Kangaroo, and Corner Seat and Nursery Table.
Please note, this can only be used in conjunction with the tray.

Meet Max! He’s a 22-month-old boy from Greater Manchester, UK, who can finally play with his family thanks to specialist Jenx equipment.
Max, was born with cerebral palsy and received an Atom Chair from Jenx shortly after his first birthday.
Atom by Jenx is a seating system designed to give children with additional postural needs the right amount of support in order to develop correct seating posture and maximise function.
The chair enables Max to join family activities with ease – the adjustable height means he can sit up high with his parents or lower it to his sister Mia’s table height.
Max’s dad Simon Said:
“We love the Atom Chair and use it everyday in a variety of ways – the fact it’s on wheels is great. We move him from room to room – so whether we’re dancing in the kitchen or zooming around the living room, Max can join in! It has helped us to join together as a family for important communal activities such as eating and playing, whilst enabling Max to be supported and comfortable. It gives us the freedom as parents to facilitate these daily activities and ensure he gets the most out of them.”
The seating system also aids Max’s development by giving him the ability to engage with sensory play – the big tray allows for a variety of toys big and small, allowing him to comfortably sit and play for up to an hour.
Simon added:
“The chair has really helped Max physically – he has improved weight bearing through his arms on the tray and his foot shape by using the sturdy footrest.
It’s great that we can remove the head rest too, as this has improved his trunk strength and head control.”
Max also uses a Jenx Corner Seat, an ideal first seat for any child with an adjustable back for height and can be used with or without the upper back support. An abduction block us used to help keep the child well positioned, with their hips neatly back into the seat.
