Cooling Topper Sheet

With unique temperature reducing properties

Available in New Zealand only. For light temperature regulation requirements only – for premium-grade cooling options Medifab recommend the CoolOver sheets.

Available as Mattress Topper (with elastic corner straps to fit to mattress) or Flat Sheet (for use as top sheet).

To Use: Place the Mattress Topper on the mattress. The four elastic corner straps are made long enough to fit very deep mattresses or mattresses that may have a Pressure Relief Overlay Mattress on top of the original mattress. Fit the elastic straps under the corners of the mattress and adjust the elastic using the buckle to make a secure fit. Do not over tighten the elastic straps so the elastic will be able to expand when the person gets into bed.

When fitting to a special Pressure Relief Mattress be aware that the Thermo Regulating Mattress Topper the material does not have any stretch properties, so the material may crease up under the patient. This creasing should be compensated by the Pressure Relief Mattress.

The benefit of stopping perspiration may be more beneficial for the patient without comprising pressure care. After using, as normal good nursing practice, the patient’s skin integrity should always be checked.

Thermo Regulating (TR) Material was first developed to help astronauts in space maintain their body temperature. The material should help to ‘keep cool people warm’ and ‘keep warm people cool’. The material allows heat from the body to escape and if the body is getting cold, it traps the warmth of the body. Different versions of the TR Material are now used for extreme snow sports clothing, some other specialised clothing and even in shoes to help people who have hot feet.

Hand or Machine Wash up to 80°C. Air Dry in Shade or Cool Tumble Dry. We recommend using a Washing Bag when machine washing this item to give a longer life, as washing can destroy the material faster than using it, just like a normal bed sheet.
