It is classed as a Disabled Persons Restraints for postural support and as a low risk medical device it carries the CE mark and complies with the requirements of MDD 93/42 EEC.

Yes – There is an adult sized Houdini harness available.
How do I Care for my Harness when it needs washing?
Harnesses must be cleaned by Hand washing only, in warm water up to 70 or 80 degrees.
Use a mild detergent/anti-bacterial liquid wash.
Mild disinfectant can be used.
Do not use Bleach or Tumble Dry your harness.
Does this harness require a vehicle tether point?
No. This harness does not require any tethering; it is not a safety harness. It is simply attached to the vehicle seat with the securing straps.
If I can’t pass the strap between the seat and the backrest, what can I do?
This can be common. Most vehicles have a carpet flap at the rear which prevents the straps coming vertically around the seat. In virtually all cases the carpet can be cut with a pair of scissors or a knife to provide access through.
The Houdini Harness 31B has made such an improvement.
Not only am I more comfortable due to being properly supported by the harness, I am also able to wear a seat belt properly which also provides a safer ride during transport. I am not able to slouch out of the seat belt into an unsafe position.
The harness has also calmed me down some, and also the buckles has prevented it from opening, and being somewhat more restrained has not bothered me.
I am so happy with the harness and it has really helped with postural support, safety with the seat belt, and helps keep me from getting out of my seat.
