Medifab’s clinical team have recently spent several days on the beautiful island of Singapore, delivering SPEX Clinical Workshops under Medifab’s Professional Development Academy program.

Our local SPEX dealer Paediatric Seating Solutions, is very dedicated to providing great wheelchair and positioning outcomes, and together with Medifab’s SPEX seating, are achieving fantastic results for children and adults requiring specialised seating.

Unique to these training workshops, we had three amazing teenagers with CP who attended for seating assessments. Lying and plinth evaluations were completed with our clinical educator Joana Santiago under the attentive eyes (and hands!) of a large team of OT’s and PT’s.

SPEX Seating allowed us to translate the clinical assessment notes from the evaluation onto the wheelchair and seating set-up. Complex postural tendencies as well as body asymmetries were properly accommodated for, ultimately resulting in functional and comfortable outcomes.
