SleepShape SemiFowler Positioning Cushion

The SleepShape SemiFowler is a shaped positioning cushion designed to provide targeted postural support in lying, with applications across lower limb and upper body positioning.

When placed under the knees, the SemiFowler positions the hips and knees in flexion to help manage comfort needs or accommodate hip and knee flexion contractures. Supporting the lower limbs in this position can assist with redistributing pressure away from higher-risk areas such as the sacrum, ischial tuberosities and heels, shifting load to lower-risk zones including the calves, thighs and back. Integrated medial thigh support also helps maintain a slight abducted hip position.

Alternatively, the SemiFowler can be positioned behind the shoulders, neck and head to provide upper body support and positioning.

Available in two sizes, with a choice of microbead or adjustable microfibre fill and comfort or wipeable cover options, the SleepShape SemiFowler can be configured to suit a wide range of users, environments and clinical needs.

SleepShape Semifowler is also available in a hygiene version, catering for environments with the most stringent infection control requirements. Using welded seams and patented filter technology, this support can be safely cleaned and used across multiple patients to provide needed support.
