The SleepShape Abduction is a specialised positioning cushion designed to facilitate an abducted hip position in lying.
Placed between the thighs, the Abduction cushion helps promote hip abduction while reducing friction and shearing forces on the inner thighs, knees and calves. This positioning can assist with comfort, postural alignment, pressure injury risk and hip health, particularly for users who are prone to adducted lower limb positions.
Available in two sizes, with a choice of microbead or adjustable microfibre fill and comfort or wipeable cover options, the SleepShape Abduction can be tailored to suit individual positioning needs and care environments.
SleepShape Abduction is also available in a hygiene version, catering for environments with the most stringent infection control requirements. Using welded seams and patented filter technology, this support can be safely cleaned and used across multiple patients to provide needed support.
