JAY Ion Wheelchair Cushion

Comfortable, convenient and quality skin protection and positioning

The JAY Ion is a multi-layer foam cushion which provides comfort and minimal positioning to users who are uncomfortable in their chair and have a low pressure risk.

The Ion has multi-layer foam with a Soft Visco memory foam top layer. For convenience and protection, the JAY Ion features a dual-cover system. The water-resistant inner cover assists with incontinence and moisture management, is easy to clean and includes anti-wicking seam thread and Aqua-guard zipper for foam protection.

The machine-washable, stretch outer cover utilizes naturally anti-microbial, silver-impregnated X-static® fiber which help to minimise bacteria buildup (and thus minimise odour). A layer of 3DX spacer fabric promotes airflow for additional skin protection. This cover also helps to reduce shear.

The Ion wheelchair seat cushion features a dual-layered foam base for a combination of structural support and comfort. For optimized immersion for each individual, the foam's firmness is determined by the cushion width, which directly corresponds with client weight.

Visco™ Memory Foam Top Layer

The top layer of soft, Visco memory foam featured in this wheelchair cushion conforms to each individual and distributes weight over a larger area for pressure reduction and maximum comfort.

For convenience and protection, the JAY Ion features a dual-cover system. The inner cover is water-resistant and easy to wipe off and clean, while its Aqua-guard zipper and anti-wicking thread protect the foam base from fluids. Every JAY Ion cushion base is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase, provided normal use.

The removable outer and inner covers are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six (6) months from the date of purchase, provided normal use.

Discomfort Level
