The Hero-NXT special purpose car seat is the smallest available in Australia to support the needs of children with disabilities and their families. It is suitable for installation in most commercially available vehicles that have an ISOFIX connection. The car seat is designed for use on the back seat of a car, and with the ISOFIX anchorage system providing a secure attachment to the vehicle, it does not have to be fastened with the car seat belts, guaranteeing easy handling.
Adjustable to your child’s unique needs
The inner padding developed by Hernik ensures optimal positioning, especially for small children, and comes standard with adjustable lateral trunk supports to protect posture and support a safe and comfortable position for travel. As standard, the Hero-NXT is fitted with a 5-point harness to support the child, and the quick-release buckle provides an easy and fast transfer.
Functional benefits
Transfers Made Easy
Transferring the user in and out of the car usually requires a lot of effort from the parent or caregiver whose children are hypotonic. For easier transfer, the Hero-NXT can be swivelled by 90° so that the child can be seated in the car seat without straining the parent or caregiver’s back. Buckling up is also much easier in this position. Once the child is in the car seat, simply rotate it to the desired position!
Increased Side Support
The Hero-NXT child car seat, modified for the rehabilitation sector, has adjustable and individually position-able aluminium thoracic pads that control the child's lateral movement - just as the mother's hands would. Travel confidently, knowing that your child has the postural supported they require!
5-Point Harness
The Hero-NXT is equipped with its own 5-point chest and shoulder strap that securely holds your child in place. With the help of the quick-release fastener and it's innovative mechanism that allows you to tighten it with one movement, a convenient and quick transfer is possible!
Forward or Rear Facing
Switch the Hero-NXT around for either forward or rear facing. The Hero-NXT can be used both forward and rear-facing direction. For children under 15 months of age, the Hero-NXT should be placed in the rear-facing configuration due to the child's developing neck muscles. Rear-facing position can be used for children up to 18 kg body weight, and the forward-facing position can be used with children with body weight greater than 9 kg.
Tilt-in-Space
To support children with limited upper body control, the Hero has a tilt-in-space function to adjust the seat angle. Easily switch between an active and a more passive position!
Height-adjustable Back Support
The Hero has a height-adjustable back support to allow it to grow with your child!
Easy Installation
Through the use of the ISOFIX connections found in most vehicles, the Hero-NXT Car Seat achieves a secure and firm fixture to the vehicle seat without requiring the use of the vehicle's seat belts. This means that if the car seat is to be used in different vehicles, it can be installed and removed in a few seconds!
