The 13th of June brought therapists from across the Canterbury region (as far south as Timaru) to the Hinton’s Winery Function Venue in Christchurch to attend Medifab’s Training Workshops.

Beginning with the ‘Grand Prix’ session, the interactive group discussed the safety of children and adults when travelling in car seats and positioning harnesses, what to do in those challenging situations where behaviour needs managing, and clarified New Zealand’s vehicle seating standards and their meanings.
At lunchtime, everyone was wowed with the lunch that the Hinton’s Winery put on. It was hard to make a choice between the two options – one being Chicken, chargrilled pepper and bacon, and the other option being Ham, brie, tomato and wholegrain mustard. There was also Roast Vegetable salad, and chocolate truffles to go along with the hot drinks.

The afternoon session was Medifab’s ‘King Double’ Training Workshop on Lying Positioning. This course covered identifying the need of a sleep system, therapeutic positioning at night time, family workshops and thermal comfort. The audience was thrilled to see just how simple Lying Positioning is using the CareWave Positioning Cushions and Kits, and how combining pieces from various Sleep System ranges can achieve effective results.

The Medifab team would like to thank all attendees who came along and helped make this such an interactive and enjoyable day! Medifab would also like to extend thanks to the Hinton’s Winery for providing such a beautiful venue to hold the Training Workshops at, and for the amazing lunch that was provided.
